CANNONBALL PRESS

Through the relentless August heat, I was working on linoleum cuts in my studio and at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop. Two of my new blocks will be editioned and published by Cannonball Press. It is a treat to work with Martin Mazorra (who created Cannonball Press with Mike Houston). He is an artist of tremendous talent and skill, whose energy is inspiring.

KEENE STATE COLLEGE GALLERY COLLECTION

This past week, Keene State College (of the University System of New Hampshire) acquired five of my drawings for their Gallery Collection.  It was a pleasure to be in touch with David White in Keene, and I am delighted to be part of the Collection.

ANTHEM: AN ALL-AMERICAN DYSTOPIA

I recently participated in the exhibition Anthem: an all-american dystopia, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Bronx Council on the Arts BRIO Award.  The exhibit was at the Longwood Art Gallery in the Bronx.

THE SHADOW

THE SHADOW is a series of 17 paintings.  The paintings tell a story about fear, how it grows in the dark and takes on a life of its own.  I worked on the paintings for 3 years and was inspired by the extraordinary Stephen Roxburgh of namelos and the beautiful designer, Helen Robinson, of Helen Robinson Design.  THE SHADOW paintings have had a long and winding road and will be published as a wordless book by Candlewick Press in July 2010.
